The following members were inducted as "Life Members" of the Association on 1/19/10. Each submitted their own biographical information. Niether of the Life Member inductees for 2010 were able to attend the meeting (so there are no pictures). MCDS again congratulates Dr. Stephen Kahn and Dr. Robert Lapinski on their accomplishments!
Dr. Stephen Kahn was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1944. Dr. Kahn attended Brooklyn College for his undergraduate education and obtained his DDS degree from New York University in 1970. After graduation from dental school Dr. Kahn completed his dental internship and Oral Surgery Residency Training Program at Montefiore Medical Center. After receiving his certificate in Oral Surgery in 1974, Dr. Kahn served in the US Army at Raymond W. Bliss Army Hospital in Arizona. During his second year at Bliss Dr. Kahn served as the Chief of the Oral Surgery Section. Dr. Kahn is currently in the private practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with Edison-Clark Oral Surgery Associates. He is affiliated with John F. Kennedy Hospital in Edison.
Dr. Kahn is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Board of Oral Medicine and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology . He is also a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Kahn resides in North Brunswick with his Vicki. Dr. and Mrs. Kahn are the parents of Rachel Kahn, DDS and David Kahn, DO and the grandparents of Ivie.
Dr. Robert Lapinski was born in Somerville, NJ in 1944. He attended The Ohio State University and then went on to dental school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, receiving his DMD degree in 1971. After dental school Dr. Lapinski served in the US Army from 1971 to 1973. Dr. Lapinski worked with Dr. Ray Curcio from 1973 to 1974 and then associated with Dr. Chet Karr in 1974. Dr. Lapinski established a private practice in Hillsborough in 1982 and currently practices there with his daughter and in Sayreville with Dr. Karr.
Dr. Lapinski is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry, American Endodontic Society, and the NJ Dental Alumni Society. Throughout his career, Dr. Lapinski has been involved with Children’s Dental Health Month at the local schools
Dr. Lapinski resides in Hillsborough with his wife, Linda. Dr. and Mrs. Lapinski are the parents of Paige I. Russo and Lauren Lapinski, DMD and the grandparents of Sydney and Sienna Russo.
